A question on the Hickel ad
How is a 'yes' vote for the TransCanada proposal ceding control of Alaska's gas to Canada? And if striking a deal with a Canadian-based company is such a bad idea, why would London-based BP be any better? Perhaps I'm missing something but the anti-AGIA arguments appear to be getting ever more desperate as the time for the Legislature to vote approaches. Here's the ad.

I don't support a government giveaways of any kind. The $500 million matching funds in AGIA is an investment that the state will get back in lower transportation tariffs if TransCanada builds the final project. And if not, the state will own the survey and other advance field work information that the $500 million paid for – that information has value. That's all.

Why do you support the AGIA half-a-billion-dollar giveaway, Dillon?
